Getting delisted is never a good sign when it comes to crypto. However, Binance released a statement regarding delisting some of the popular spot trading pairs for WING, VIB, PDA, and ALPACA tokens. This could be massive for the exchange as it might change the dynamics.
As per the notice shared by the company on April 24, the exchange suggested that trading pairs linked to the tokens we mentioned above are likely to be removed. This de-listing will occur from May 2, 2025, at 03:00 UTC. The company stated that any open orders during that time would be canceled.
Binance Delisting
Binance is delisting the tokens and shutting down its spot trading bots. Users are advised to update or cancel any active bots before the cutoff date arrives, typically to avoid unnecessary losses.
Binance has released a statement suggesting that token withdrawals will remain open until July 4. After this, the leftover balance will be transformed into a stablecoin. However, this transfer is not guaranteed yet.
Binance made the decision based on several factors. In simple terms, Binance suggested that the aid tokens are not performing as they should have. The company assessed various aspects of the tokens, including regulatory compliance, team commitment, community engagement, trading volume, and development.
As soon as the news of the slashing hit, the named tokens saw a major dip. One of the tokens saw a 34% dip in its price in minutes. Therefore, the move could prove detrimental to the tokens.
