ETH, one of the biggest tokens in the world, has been under fire from critics for a while. Finally, representatives from ETH broke the silence at Consensus 2025 in Toronto. The representative simultaneously addressed pointers like talent drain, technical roadmap, and governance.
Paul Brody and Josh Stark broke the silence on all the criticism towards the token. The duo stated it wants to adopt a robust network array to give the necessary juice to grow. The duo agreed that the road to this goal will not be easy. It will come with its innate challenges.
Change In Leadership?
One key criticism that ETH garnered is the issue of challenged leadership. In other words, the questionable governance of the ETH foundation. Stark openly agreed, stating, “The ecosystem needs stronger leadership […] on the roadmap, its execution, and the coordination of efforts to address major challenges.”
However, this partial self-criticism is a way to allay the situation. It did show that the representatives of ETH are not oblivious to the fundamental point of contention that plagues the landscape.
EY representative Paul Brody agreed to this point and even brought in Aya Miyaguchi, the former leader of the blockchain, to praise her contribution and how the blockchain performed during her term.
The blockchain requires immediate restructuring. However, this blatant restructuring will not be easy. It will be an arduous journey. Subsequently, this change will also come as a jolt to whatever growth the blockchain showed in the last few months.
