Jack Dorsey, the Twitter founder, has made his support clear for Robert Kennedy Jr., who is running for the Presidential role. He shared a Youtube clip where Kennedy was seen explaining what his plans were for beating other popular Republican candidates like Donald Trump and Ron De Santis. He said, “He can and will.”
When Dorsey was asked if he was just predicting the results or endorsing him, he mentioned he was doing both. Robert Kennedy happens to be the nephew of the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy. He is the latest member who has put his name up for the Presidential bid.
Kennedy, a candid anti-vaccine advocate, and an environmental lawyer, announced his candidature and presidential campaign on the 19th of April. He is an enthusiast of cryptocurrencies. During a keynote speech at the Bitcoin Miami Conference on 19th May, he told the people that for his Presidential campaign, he would be accepting donations in Bitcoin.
He has complained and criticized the Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) as gears that can massively expand the government’s authority to suffocate opposition by curbing access to resources with a keystroke. He has also defined the leading Cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, as an “innovation engine.”
Kennedy also sentenced the proposed tax by the Biden administration on crypto mining on May 3. He said it was a bad idea that a 30% tax was imposed on energy that crypto miners use and also claimed that even though mining’s use of energy was a matter of concern, it was “somewhat overstated.”
According to a poll that was taken from Fox News on 27th May, Kennedy not just asks for support but commands it from the 16% of primary Democratic voters. Fox News notes that is a “sizable chunk” for a prime challenger against an obligatory president.
