Sam Altman’s World Project is getting bigger by the day. Circle’s USD-pegged coin, USDC, and the cross-chain protocol join the notion. With this new transfer, users can convert the transferred USDC tokens into native stablecoins.
On 1st May, Sam Altman announced that the blockchain project would take on the US project at a greater scale. The official announcement claims that World Chain will combine USDC and the CCTP V2 mechanism into its mainframe network.
The CCTP V2 network is nothing other than the Cross Chain Transfer Protocol of Circle. Now, it’s upgraded for a more efficient USDC transfer across the blockchain networks.
# How’s The Integration Playing Out?
The integration would help around 2 million verified users on the World Chain convert bridged USDC into native USDC. Finally, all stablecoins will be 1:1 with USD and all other cash-equivalent assets.
That’s not all. Now that CCTP V2 is on the World Chain, users can transfer USDC across multiple chains at a much lower cost and a greater speed.
# How Will It Impact the World Network?
The duo will take The World Network to an altogether different stage. Hence, USDC is becoming an economic coin, and more people are accessing it from a wide economic zone!
# When Is the Integration Taking Place?
The announcement came late. The date of integration has yet to be revealed. However, the official declaration confirmed some of the benefits that users will get from the collaboration.
All verified World Chain users can exchange money and send funds using USDC without paying a high transfer fee.
# What’s in There for Businesses?
The World Chain registered businesses can now access Circle Mint. Thus, they will have the institutional on/off ramps at their fingertips.
Developers can also contribute to the platform’s vast blockchain network. They can now build into the World App’s mini-Apps directly.
The World Chain plans to expand the network further in the future. For example, they will accommodate EURC, Circle’s MiCA-compliant stablecoin, which is also synced to the Euro. However, there’s still some time to do that!
# The Recent Advances
Recently, The World Network has advanced to the US. At present, users in Atlanta, Miami, Nashville, and San Francisco can access it, as can those in Austin and Miami.
However, the project has not previously received good feedback from countries like Brazil, Hong Kong, and other pro-crypto countries!
