The sale was meanwhile finalized after a private offer flashed on the Cryptopunk’s marketplace.
When an anonymous someone brought the NFT in 2024, it became the third ever biggest crypto punk transaction across history.
The net exchange value was 4500 ETH. The wholesome value of the same becomes $16 million. However, problems have arisen as ETH lost around 56% of their valuation in the last 1 year. The seller lost 500 ETH as the valuation slumped. In terms of USD, that is equal to an overall $10 million.
CryptoPunk’s Position Now
The token is listed as #3100 now. Hence, it is now three times on the leaderboard of the all-time biggest sales. In the two previous cases, the coin was sold for $7.58 million and $16.03 million, respectively.
CryptoPunk remains in the top-tier profile of NFT collections. However, the financial performance of the token is not the same as before.
The floor price of CryptoPunk has receded by 67%. Once, it had an all-time high of 125ETH set 4 years ago. Now the average value is 42.5ETH only.
