Looking to expand its ecosystem and has struck a deal with Coinbase, a successful crypto firm.
As per the report, this partnership will make Coinbase the official crypto partner of Riot Games, like Valorant and League of Legends. This will bridge the gap between crypto and the gaming ecosystem, making things more seamless and organic in the future.

This partnership will allow Coinbase and Riot Games to expand their respective areas of influence. However, the market is seemingly skeptical about this partnership, while some believe that it will bring positive changes to the forefront.
The creative heads at both companies have stated that these changes are geared towards improving the fan experience. However, the methodology is still unclear. Coinbase VP Gary Sun stated, “Over the course of the season, we will explore opportunities to share technical insights and co-develop further integrations across both crypto and Web3.“
However, this is not the first time Coinbase has ventured into gaming. The firm has been trying to take advantage of the gaming landscape for a long time. Finally, it has managed to make some headway.
