In the strides to stabilise the latter landscape, Donald Trump flew into his golf resort. Sources suggest that this impromptu meeting aims to meet 220 key purchasers of the TRUMP Memecoin.
President Trump is one of the only US presidents who has taken such an active interest in the crypto world. Trump hosted a specialised dinner for the top investors. However, the move irked the general population, and widespread protests were outside the resort.
Gala & Protestors
Ahead of the Gala, Trump tweeted about the details of the gala, saying, “Heading to the Crypto Dinner in Loudon County, Virginia, in a little while. The U.S.A. is DOMINATING in Crypto, Bitcoin, etc., and we are going to keep it that way!”
However, releasing a new token under your name is not a move that everyone applauds. Close to 100 protesters gathered outside the resort to demonstrate against the move. While some are openly saying things like, “America is not for sale” or “I hope you choke on your dinner!” Such emotionally charged statements were meant to get a reaction out of the President.
This criticism is not a mad rambling of a pissed off poipulation. Earlier, Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut openly commented on the same, saying, “In effect he is putting a ‘For Sale’ sign on the White House lawn.” Therefore, let’s see where the water goes.
